Nature Walk with Organic Tea Tasting
On this visit, I enjoyed viewing Wuzhi Mountain. Wuzhi Mountain is located at the center of Hainan Island. It is the highest mountain in Hainan. And it is regarded as one of the symbols of Hainan and also one of the famous mountains in China. The peaks are waving like saw-tooth and the shape is like five fingers, hence the name Wuzhi (means five fingers in Chinese).
The positives are that this is a very exciting and challenging hike - if you've dreamed about mountain climbing but don't have the experience, this is a good entry-level version. Walking through a very dense forest (and clean air) is nice, and you'll feel very proud of yourself if you're able to complete the climb. If you're in the area and looking for a hike, it makes for a challenging but rewarding climb. It's also a great workout - you'll be sore for days!
Hainan is Chinese southernmost tea production area. Most of tea plantations are located on the hillside at 600-800m high, where is the typical low latitude and high altitude tea production area.
Wuzhishan is a city in Hainan's central highlands. Hainan black is produced fr om Wuzhishan city.
The dry leaves of Hai Nan black are tightly twisted into thin, brittle curls, matte black, with a hint of the distinctive citric smell of the plum. The liquor carries forth that aroma with the added depth of a black tea. The flavor of this tea is very smooth & sweet, & one minute you are tasting caramel apple, but then the lingering aftertaste is like a really good bourbon vanilla extract. It is medium amber in color, clear and smooth texture, sweet fruity taste. The bright red infusion has an appetizing honeyed sweet aroma while the taste is wonderfully smooth.
The city of Wuzhishan lies in the Wuzhi Mountain, the center of the island, and is the hubs for transportation from North to South and East to West. It was the former capital of Li and Miao ethics. The cloud-capped peaks as 1867 meters in tall features a palm with 5 figures striking into the heaven and the mountain is fully cherished by forests covering. The delight climate and emerald city in whole year is known as “Natural Villa”.
The main attractions here are:
Ethnic Museum of Hainan
Built in October 1986, the Ethnic Museum of Hainan is up till now one of the biggest museums in Hainan province covering an area of more than 5000 square meters. Being an ethnic museum, it displays cultural relics, pictures, costumes, folk arts and various aspects of the minorities living in Hainan.
Li Village at Fanmao, Betel Nut Farm, Shiwu Village, Zhonghe Ancient Town and Meiwan Village. All those are located in the mountain areas wh ere you can pay a visit to local ethnic people. It is a good place for hiking 15-20 kilometers or cycling 30-35 kilometers a day from sites to sites gaining a pleasure of exotic exploration or healthy benefit.
To explore the culture of Ethnic Li Community and to enjoy the varieties of tea, must visit Wuzhishan Tea Plantation "Grace Of Nature".
